I started drinking smoothies,eating salads,and and added juicing later on,and that was 3 years and some months ago in October 2008. I am doing a juice feasting adventure with myself to challenge what I can seek in living this lifestyle.

1 week before I started juicing! I have a chin~ 1 chin :-) These photos are my beginnings before any Raw Food in my life. The second photo was wearing make-up and me being fresh and loving my raw eating .Then I added cooked and no exercise and what do you think. I will tell you,I gain weight and get that fat face and pants get tight,and the cycle begins. NO MORE!!!!!
I am back to exercise,and have been and doing a great body cleanse. Keep watching the journey!
Getting a juice treat from my friend later today and we will then take a walk. It's dry outside ,so all is good.
This was day 46 of my Chaga making tea ,and why I add Cats Claw and Pau D'Arco.......
I started my day with water and MSM powder and 5 Chlorella tablets. I hate the taste if you chew them. Now Angela Stokes says she chews them (Chlorella Tablets) and said they taste like nuts. I beg to differ,I rather swallow them with water. And I will leave it at that.I do like using MSM and Chlorella tablets. I just started this protocol on Monday. I also stick with my every other day I either use Gods herbs " Detox Kit "Or the "Sweetish Bitters" by Ghia brand.
I started learning about Sweetish bitters from a nutritional gal in the Longevity Conference line in California in late Oct 2011. She detected I had digestion issues,and I have,so she said these are the best bitters. I either use The Detox KitTinctures Or the Sweetish BittersEVERY OTHER day. What I do is every other day I take these but never the same in one day. I hope that makes sense. I am feeling great and I will say one thing I get tired of is having a cold body. Being cold while juicing used to be an excuse, but not any more, I muddle through this journey and don't let the season detect if I can juice or not.
I am getting more fit as I get my exercise it at our local YMCA. Exercise has to be a part of any health regiment. Eating healthy alone won't shrink a persons body fat and I am no exception.
I also use Penni Shelton'swww.Rawfoodrehab.comsite and have used this site from her beginnings. I get plenty of ideas and wonderful communication with like minded people. There is no judgement there as we may get from family members. We are all people wanting to eat the best food we can in order to keep our bodies in tip top shape.
Today's juices: made 32 ounces and 1 Cup
Tomato -V-8 -- 3 Roma, 3 celery stalks,Romaine lettuce small head, 3 asparagus, small zucchini, 1/2 bunch cilantro,1/2 bunch parsley, garlic,chunk onion, small piece habanero
My second juice was a cleanse juice I really enjoy-25 ounces
1 Cup organic grapes, 2 granny smith apples, and 1/4 of small red cabbage
My juices: green juice-kale,cucumber,spinach, beet,lemon,broccoli and ginger. I ended my day with watermelon,mint and lime juice. All is good with no detox symptoms. I have had any signs of anything
bad,as type this I really have a buzz as I sip my green juice. All I know is I feel great.
I also sip on throughout my day too. Have a great Day and Holla to all...............

From David:Here is the tea I make many mornings during the week, and it is perfect for drinking while Juice Feasting! It is energizing, immune-building, helps your body utilize oxygen, feeds friendly probiotics (because of the polysaccharides in the goji berries), and is antagonistic to opportunists such as yeast, mold, fungus, unfriendly bacteria, and parasites! So here it is:
Make 1 to 1.5 quarts of tea with:
Ginger (Tablespoon) *
Pau D’Arco (Tablespoon)
Nettle (Tablespoon)
Horsetail (Tablespoon)
Astragalus (Tablespoon)
Tulsi (Holy Basil) (Tablespoon)
Goji Berry (small handful)
Rooibos (Tablespoon)
Licorice Root (teaspoon)
Boil water, and place all the ingredients in. Simmer for 10 minutes, and you can drink right away. Or let it steep for hours - and just dip into it throughout the day!
You eat the goji berries!(except when juice feasting)....... Don’t throw them away
All I am intaking at the moment is green juices,water,tea sometimes and my own made Kombucha only maybe once a week. I just sprouted some wheatberries for some rejuvelac. I really stick with the juices first. Again today I opened my day with water and lemon,followed by an Enema,my Detox tinctures,green juice,and water. Best way to begin a day. I wish everyone could experience what juicing and only juicing can do for the body. Not only have I been making juices ,I have been making Kombucha and I have a batch of Rejuvalac in my Oven (dark place). When I make Rejuvelac I make mine with the Lighter wheatberries as this is what Ann Wigmore suggests. I do not love rejuvelac but using it is great as a natural probiotic. I also take the Rejuvelac and make cheeses and I still might do that for my husband,as he likes my cheese too.
On the other hand not to confuse what Kombucha and Rejuvelac are- My husband and I love Kombucha. As some people say Kombucha resembles beer. I will tell you I hate beer and never drink beer as I can't stand the taste. This here below Kombucha is some good stuff.

Now as for a Kombucha recipe I will tell you quickly our favorite tea bag combo. I use 8 tea bags Organic ones. I use 2 black teabags a 6 green tea teabags. You can do what you want but this is a great beginning mix. Sugar is in this recipe but it gets eaten up by the fermented mushroom that is in this awesome drink.
I am so thankful that I have the power in me and the get go to do nothing at the moment but concentrate on liquids. I not only feel great I feel powerful. I get 8 hours of sleep naturally. I use no alarm clock and haven't for some time now.I absolutely so far have no desire for food -Zippo none-
What I juiced today:
Spinach,kale,dandelion,red pepper,cilantro,parsley,ginger,1teaspoon of Hemp oil and lime 45 ounces
Butter lettuce,cucumber,celery, few kale leaves,pear,ginger, and lemon 32 ounces
Watermelon yummy-watermelon,mint and lime 12 ounces
Tons of water---
Finally had wheatgrass 1.5 hour's before bedtime.
Today is Saturday and it's another beautiful sunny day. Oh my I woke and had some water ,had my enema,dry brushed shaved legs and all is good to go. I am feeling so damn good,I am in heaven. I have these beautiful vegetables that came out of our garden today,and I made a juice drink of Romaine, arugula, butter lettuce( all from the garden),pear ,and apple,lemon and ginger. It had a nice color nice soft flavor too.
My hubby washed my car ,while I sat in the sun to get my 20 minutes of Vitamin D sunshine, which I require via the doctor since my body is super low on vitamin D. Speaking of doctor,my blood pressure was 120 over 27 and that is great compared to the higher of 138 over 37 I had a short 3 weeks ago. I try and check my blood pressure weekly now. We went into Seattle again for more of my Organic produce that my garden doesn't have.We ended up at Alki beach for a round trip walk along the water of 3 miles, and that was a good walk. Since Mike and I took a Ferry ride back into Seattle to get to West Seattle and I picked up a few of those groceries thereat PCC an organic nice grocery store. We also went back to Chaco Canyon and I had another 16 oz green juice of Apple,parsley,fennel and kale.
I will say after we took our walk we drove home and that was 1 hour 10 minutes and I had a 20 minute cat nap on the car ride home . I have not gotten tired any days up until today,but I know why.The reason I got tired is "THE SUN". When I am in the sun too long I get tired. But once I got home Warm bath and warm tea afterward. What better way to end the night.
When I got home (after my bath) I had warm tea with 1 Teaspoon of honey and bee pollen ,very yummy!!! What a way to end the night-warm tea........
Well I must admit I went wrong a few days ago. I indulged into a salad with hubby and it was not here at home it was a Chipotle . I had a Romaine salad no meat (heck no),however it had sauteed vegetables (onion with green peppers),lettuce, corn (dumb move) and the vinaigrette that they supply. All items are fresh ,but who cares when I was juicing , RIGHT~Why did I give in and let my mind take over in such a way! My body eliminated it that day once I arrived home. Loose stool which was to be expected happened. I am not giving up. I owe this to myself to succeed in my journey. An enema is on schedule today first because of my dumb move. I am starting juice day today with citrus and Vitamineral green. Maybe this will flush the other yuk out of me.
Today I juiced :
2 grapefruit, 5 small oranges,1 teas. of Vita-Mineral green powder-Yummy stuff together. This made 18 ounces. It was a good start to a :
64 ouncesThen for the rest of my day I had Romaine,kale,cucumber,celery,apple and lemon
ended the night with pure coconut water from 2 coconuts.Hubby makes a pudding or smoothie for a snack for himself.

Attitude and how one FEELS have a HUGE effect on the body. If we FEEL good, and actually believe what we're eating is good for us and that it will make us lose weight, it will!
So, attitude, and flooding ones body, one's spirit and mind with POSITIVE energy and GOOD FEELINGS no doubt have MUCH to do with weight loss success.
